Marvel characters who are not in Marvel Tōkon
A lot of people search for fighters who simply are not here. This is the straight list, plus what is actually confirmed about the 3 Year 1 slots still to be filled — which is less than you have been told elsewhere.
The short answer
Marvel Tōkon launches with 20 fighters across five teams. If a name is not on the roster page, it is not in the game — there is no hidden tier, no pre-order exclusive fighter, and no unlockable beyond the announced Year 1 pass.
The names below are the ones that come up most in search. Several have an obvious reason for the confusion, which is noted where it applies.

The 3 unannounced Year 1 slots
The Year 1 Character & Stage Pass commits to 4 post-launch fighters and one additional stage. Exactly one fighter has been named: Phoenix Cyclops, revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23, 2026. That leaves 3 slots with no announced occupant.
We are not going to guess who fills them. The reveal trailer teased three more fighters without naming or clearly showing them, and every “confirmed leak” roster list circulating right now is someone’s wishlist with a headline on it. When a name is announced it appears on the updates timeline the same day, sourced.
Common questions
- Is Venom in Marvel Tōkon?
- No. The launch roster's symbiote is Carnage, on the Knights of Doom. Venom does not appear.
- Is Thor in Marvel Tōkon?
- No. Asgard is one of the seven launch stages, which is probably why the question comes up, but Thor is not a playable fighter.
- Is Gambit or Emma Frost in Marvel Tōkon?
- Neither. The Unbreakable X-Men are Storm, Wolverine, Magik and Danger.
- Are the Fantastic Four in Marvel Tōkon?
- No member of the Fantastic Four is on the launch roster.
- Could these characters be added later?
