Day-one patch
August 6, 2026 · PS5 & PC (Steam / Epic)Shipped alongside launch, the day-one patch is almost entirely the PC performance and online fixes Arc System Works promised after the open beta — plus two input-handling changes that touch how the game actually plays.
Gameplay & inputs
- Input prioritization changed to “236 < 623 < 236 after 41236”, for a more accurate activation of 623 (dragon-punch) motions — i.e. fewer accidental fireballs when you meant a DP.
- Danger: the input handling for ground dashes was revised, and it is now possible to cancel into a skill from a ground dash. (Command inputs that were awkward in the beta should register more reliably.)
PC performance
- Removed unnecessary character-animation updates to reduce CPU load.
- Reduced the load from the user-interface update.
- Fixed performance dropping sharply while running overlay/capture apps (OBS Studio, Discord).
- Added an anti-aliasing option to the automatic graphics-quality setting.
- Fixed an issue that enabled unintended anti-aliasing plug-ins (DLSS, FSR, XeSS).
- Added a setting to change the update frequency of stage-background characters (custom graphics quality).
- Enabled the shader warm-up prompt by default at startup.
Online & netcode
- Steam: fixed a delay in sending input data during online matches.
- PS5: added a further measure to mitigate input lag.
- Improved server connectivity and stability.
- Fixed the invisibility bug in Online Lobby.
- Fixed distorted digit display in Ranked Mode.
- Addressed network disconnections during a Challenger Alert.
Other fixes
- Fixed display switching on multi-monitor setups.
- Fixed a crash tied to mouse use in menus.
- Improved text-rendering performance for Arabic and Thai.
