The Marvel Tōkon open beta, and what it showed

Free, no beta code or registration (an Account for PlayStation is still required, on PC too), 16 playable fighters across PS5 and PC (Steam or Epic Games Store). It is also where most of the move data on this site comes from, which is why the fighters left out of it have empty kits.

Open to everyone — no beta code and no registration, and PS Plus is not required. You do need an internet connection and an Account for PlayStation, on PC as well as PS5. Download the Open Beta client from the PlayStation Store, Steam, or Epic and play.

The beta is the reason this site could show move data as early as it did. Everything in the move database was compiled from that build and from the official character guides published around launch.

Playable in the beta

16

We have the pick counts for all 16 of them: which fighters high-rank players actually chose, taken off the Vibranium+ leaderboard just before the servers closed. Magik and Blade were picked roughly four times as often as Danger.

Not in the beta

4

These are the fighters with no documented movelist on this site. That is a direct consequence of the beta roster, not an oversight.
