Which Marvel Tōkon character should a beginner pick?

Official beta guidance named five. This page repeats that guidance and is careful to say what it is: ease of execution, not a strength ranking.

The official picks

Official beta guidance highlighted Captain America, Ms. Marvel, and Wolverine as beginner-friendly, and named Iron Man and Spider-Man as also relatively easy to learn.

That is a statement about how hard they are to execute, from the people who made the game. It is not a claim that they are strong, and nothing published so far supports a strength ranking of any kind.

Why 'easy' means something specific in a 4v4 game

In a tag game your character choice is really four choices, and the hard part is usually the team layer — assists, tags, and the Switch window — rather than any one fighter's motions.

A beginner-friendly point character buys you attention to spend on the team system. That is the practical value of the list above.

What we will not tell you

Who is 'best'. The game only just shipped (August 6), there is still no public frame data, and a tier list built on a three-day beta would be a guess with a table around it.

What kind of fighter someone is. We tried deriving that from movelists and got about half the roster wrong, so the kit comparison now only counts what is published — move types, gauge costs, air-usable moves — and leaves the reading to you.
