Open beta: not playableAugust 6, 2026

Summary

The god of mischief is the Outriders' wild card.

Loki was revealed late — part of the fifth and final team shown at EVO 2026 — and did not appear in the open beta. His identity as a fighter matches his identity everywhere else: misdirection. Many of his skills are feints and counters built on illusions, and he leans on erratic movement to keep the opponent guessing.

He fills the screen with ice-and-magic projectiles and plants ice traps that limit where the opponent can go, herding them toward the positioning — or the risky attack — he is ready for. We are not reprinting the precise inputs and costs from unverified captures, but the trickster-zoner shape is straight from the official gameplay reveal.

Move list

The full input-by-input command list for Loki — every move with its skill-gauge cost — is not up here yet. The official character guide did reveal how Loki plays, and that breakdown, with the signature moves named, is in the How to play Loki section below. This table stays empty until a verified command list is published, rather than carry inputs and costs invented from footage.

Startup, active, recovery and on-block values need the retail build to measure and land here after August 6, 2026. Invented frame data is worse than none.

How to play Loki

Loki plays mind games. Where most of the cast wins by being faster or hitting harder, he wins by making you commit to the wrong thing — much of his kit is feints and illusion-based counters that punish a habit or an impatient button.

The control comes from ice and magic. He throws ice-and-magic projectiles to wall you out and sets ice traps across the screen that shrink your usable space, steering you into the spot he wants. Paired with erratic, hard-to-read movement, the plan is to keep you confused and reacting while he decides the terms of neutral.

That makes him a capitalize-on-mistakes character rather than a raw-damage one — his best moments come from reading a bad habit and making it cost. Loki was not in the open beta, so there is no pick-rate data for him; everything here is from the official character reveal, and the frame-precise command list will follow once a verified source is public.

Kit-level gameplan from Loki’s documented moves and the open-beta usage split — not frame data. Specific frame advantages and matchup reads land once the retail build is tested.

Official character guide

Arc System Works has not published a character guide for Lokiyet. We link the official one when it exists rather than substituting someone else’s footage.

Loki is voiced by Jason Spisak — officially credited (source).
