How to play Peni Parker
Peni fights through the SP//dr suit with a layer of randomness most of the cast doesn't have. Gadget Launcher deploys one of eight drones — Racer, Jumping, Sentry, Bazooka, Seeker and more — so her setups carry a built-in gamble, and Wall Stick lets her cling to corner walls to reposition, climb, or fire gadgets from angles nobody else reaches.
Cyber Web fires electric shots that drag the opponent in, Pendulum Web swings her in behind spinning mech arms, and Spider Spin is a multi-hit lunge that chains to Wall Stick near corners. She's at her best in the corner, stacking gadgets and web pulls into a hard-to-escape setup.
No timed install, but Mecha Meltdown — her Ultimate — transforms her and guarantees the Spider drone on the next Gadget Launcher, converting the deck-of-drones RNG into a known, powerful payoff for once.
In the open beta she was picked 62 times, split 17 on point and 45 as an assist. She's a setup character, and the drone RNG plus corner game reward lab time a three-day beta simply doesn't give — read her number as unsolved rather than weak.
