Summary
The symbiote serial killer rounds out the Knights of Doom.
Carnage skipped the open beta, but the studio has been clear about what he is: brutal, close-range aggression. He turns his arms into bladed weapons and lashes out with symbiote tendrils, and the whole design leans into being merciless — the official reveal calls him brutally aggressive and utterly merciless, a character who revels in the chaos.
His signature is an infection mechanic. Landing tendril hits puts the opponent into a temporary symbiote-infested state, and while they are infested his skills are empowered — they tear through defenses and drain health even through guard. We are not reprinting a verified input-by-input command list with costs, but the infest-then-punish loop is the officially described core of his kit.
Move list
The full input-by-input command list for Carnage — every move with its skill-gauge cost — is not up here yet. The official character guide did reveal how Carnage plays, and that breakdown, with the signature moves named, is in the How to play Carnage section below. This table stays empty until a verified command list is published, rather than carry inputs and costs invented from footage.
Startup, active, recovery and on-block values need the retail build to measure and land here after August 6, 2026. Invented frame data is worse than none.
How to play Carnage
Carnage is symbiote rushdown built around one idea: get in and infect. He shapes his arms into blades and attacks with tendrils, and the speed and reach of that pressure is what forces the first opening.
The payoff is the infested state. Tag the opponent with tendril hits and they are marked as symbiote-infested for a window, and during it his skills become empowered — they cut through defenses and drain health even while the opponent is blocking. So the loop is simple and nasty: land the tendrils, then unload while the infestation is live, taking their health and their guard at the same time.
It is a deliberately merciless, aggression-first character, and the kit is designed to reward staying on top of the opponent rather than resetting to neutral. Carnage was not part of the open beta, so there is no pick-rate history for him; the breakdown above comes from the official announcement, and a full move table with gauge costs will be added once a verified source publishes one.
Kit-level gameplan from Carnage’s documented moves and the open-beta usage split — not frame data. Specific frame advantages and matchup reads land once the retail build is tested.
Official character guide
Arc System Works has not published a character guide for Carnageyet. We link the official one when it exists rather than substituting someone else’s footage.
Carnage is voiced by Kellen Goff — officially credited (source).
Combos
Combo routes for Carnage live at ComboForge, where players have been submitting and voting on them for a year. That is a better source than anything we would assemble here.
