Summary
Robbie Reyes leads the Outriders with hellfire and horsepower.
This Ghost Rider is Robbie Reyes, the haunted-muscle-car incarnation, leading the Samurai Outriders with chains and hellfire that work the space just outside most characters' reach.
Choosing Reyes over Johnny Blaze matches the roster's pattern of familiar names in unexpected versions, Shuri's Black Panther being the loudest example. He was playable in the beta; chain ranges, durability, and assist pairings get pinned down at launch.

Inputs use numpad notation for a character facing right: 2 is down, 6 is forward, so 236 is a quarter-circle forward and 623 a “dragon punch” motion; L/M/H are the three attack strengths and U is the Unique button. The game also has simplified one-button skills — the controls guide covers both.
Startup, active, recovery and on-block values need the retail build to measure and land here after August 6, 2026. Invented frame data is worse than none.
How to play Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is hellfire mid-range built on a Vengeance economy that runs the opposite way to most meters. Revelator Chain is a flurry that extends when you hold it at the cost of Vengeance Gauge, and Penance Driver spends Vengeance on hit but builds it on whiff — so his resource is a risk/reward loop, not a bar that only fills one direction.
He owns the midrange with chains and flame: Hellfire is a breath attack, Hell Scorcher drops a flame field at a chosen range, and Judgement Cradle is a long-range chain swing with feint, low and overhead branches — a genuine mixup from a distance most characters can only poke at.
The gameplan is managing Vengeance: throw out whiff-friendly pressure to build it, then dump it into extended Revelator Chains and Inferno Engine when you have a confirm. Eternal Damnation, the Ultimate, reels the opponent in — and then the car arrives.
In the open beta he was picked 86 times — 8th overall — split 27 on point and 59 as an assist. His long chains and flame fields read as strong assist coverage, but the point-usage isn't trivial: reach plus a real ranged mixup gives him a solo game too, and enough players leaned into it that his point number sits above the pure zoners.
Kit-level gameplan from Ghost Rider’s documented moves and the open-beta usage split — not frame data. Specific frame advantages and matchup reads land once the retail build is tested.
On the Vibranium and above leaderboard, Ghost Rider was picked 86 times across 1,600 character slots — 8th most-picked of the 16 playable.
Players overwhelmingly used Ghost Rider as an assist — 69% of picks — rather than as the fighter they started the match with. Compare every fighter’s beta pick rate.
By raw picks, Ghost Rider landed just ahead of Storm and just behind Iron Man.
Popularity is not strength — this counts what people chose over one three-day weekend on a pre-launch build, not what wins.
